Professional Background
Lori Zieg is a seasoned supply chain and procurement leader with extensive experience in the aerospace and defense industry. She began her career as a U.S. Air Force officer, transitioned to serve as a Contract Negotiator at Lockheed Martin Commercial Space Systems, and later joined GE Aerospace where she led buying and procurement initiatives in multiple roles of increasing responsibility. Lori is currently the Senior Manager of Supply Chain at L3Harris Technologies’ Mason, Ohio, site. She oversees a section of procurement professionals who coordinate negotiation and procurement responsibilities across all programs at the Mason site.
As an adjunct professor in the Master of Science in Analytics Program, Lori teaches the Data Mining and Data Driven Decisions courses and incorporates her professional experience with her analytics proficiency to provide an engaging and educational experience for her students.
Holding a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance from the University of Notre Dame and a Master of Business Administration degree from Miami University, Lori commands strong leadership skills, robust project management skills, and expertise in data-driven analysis and contract negotiations.
Known for her strategic mindset, Lori excels at optimizing procurement processes, building high-performing teams, and delivering measurable cost savings while meeting project timelines.
